By working with and educating legislators, policymakers, and key stakeholders, LRMHA assists in the development and implementation of sound public policy that supports Louisiana's mental health providers and clients.
Your time is valuable and devoted to your business and clients. Let us take care of the other things.
The weekly brief synthesizes information from the week in a quick, easy to read format emailed to members. Weekly Briefs cover the latest news from the Capitol and reports from meetings with state agency personnel, committees, and departments and to alert members to upcoming meetings or important info.
While LRMHA's work ultimately benefits all mental health rehab providers, we ensure LRMHA members are at the forefront of receiving updates and guidance as we receive it. Members will also receive exclusive updates on policy and advocacy activity, and have a seat at the table in representing the field on key workgroups and committees.
LRMHA's vast experience in legislative lobbying and grassroots advocacy compounded with valuable relationships with state officials allows the collective voice of our members to be heard loud and clear. These relationships have helped present LRMHA as a resource to legislators and department staff, offering the breadth and depth which sets us apart from other organizations.
LRMHA understands the importance of data driven decisions and use of data in our advocacy efforts. As such, we frequently gather data from our members, analyze that data, and make use of that data in our advocacy efforts to government and policymakers.
While effectively representing the collective of our members, we work hard to assist our members individual entities. Whether your agency needs help with technical assistance, marketing, or facilitating a meeting with people in key positions, LRMHA is dedicated to ensuring our members success.
LRMHA consists of providers across the state that all share a goal of seeking to improve the mental health care system in Louisiana. Members are able to network with others in the mental health rehab field about emerging issues and share innovative practices and solutions to challenges.
Louisiana's mental health rehab providers have always competed for scarce resources and have often not been aware of key policy and regulatory opportunities. You have faced numerous challenges, especially over the past few years, all while providing quality services to the most vulnerable. At the same time, you have had few opportunities to meet, learn from each other, and collaborate on programs, health system reforms, planning, or policy and advocacy. LRMHA seeks to unite, support, and advocate for you all. We are harnessing the strength, creativity, and resiliency of our members to promote change.
