LRMHA represents a collection of mental health care providers and advocates who seek to ensure that everyone gets the personalized treatment they need to improve their emotional and social well-being so they can live more productive and fulfilling lives.
We believe in access and early intervention.
We believe in best practices and measured outcomes.
We believe in accountability and credentialing.
We believe in all mental health stakeholders having a seat at the table.
LRMHA's Board of Directors includes leaders from various rural mental health rehabilitation providers across Louisiana. They bring years of leadership, experience, and knowledge to the Alliance. LRMHA's board of directors directs the organization's yearly advocacy efforts as well as it's long term goals.
LRMHA's full time Executive Director, Katie Corkern, is the Alliance's spokesperson bringing crucial information to it's members, educating policymakers, lobbying in Baton Rouge, and engaging the Alliance's grassroots network. Katie brings years of experience in lobbying, grassroots organizing, as well as being a parent advocate to her child who utilizes Medicaid for services.
LRMHA's provider members benefit from our expertise in advocating on mental health issues before policymakers. Encompassing the field of mental health rehab providers, membership helps businesses network with others, receive regular information important to MHR, and a variety of other benefits.
